Afternoon church halls

midnight temple scrolls

moonlight traces

the devotion of oncoming storm

Fear of the Lords

I walk in superstition

jumping squares, dancing on corners

my world falling apart

on peacock feathers

At the edge of blueberry hormones

she roars

but I never cared

I worship, I pray

to cage

what’s mine

so that it doesn’t fade away

to tear from her bosom-

ruthlessly, without fear

offer as a sacrifice

to her Goddess

even for a moment

to seek what’s mine-

her eye

my peace.
