Guess what? Today was my favourite day, because it was book shopping day.

Today I went to World Book Fair 2018 which was hosted at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi and is India‘s second oldest book fair. It was first held from March 18 to April 4, 1972 and it’s held every year ever since.

More than 40 000 square mts. and all covered in book stalls and millions of people book shopping.

Exhilarating!

I wonder now, how despite having spent most of my childhood here in Delhi, this was my first visit. But I am so happy to finally experience it all in its glam and glory.

This year, it was themed around environment issues such as climate change, global warming, and water pollution. It was so much fun to experience exhibitors, book publishers, authors, readers, buyers all overlapped together.

And the best part was I bought and bought books. I and my friends, we stared just straight ahead on the way back so we couldn’t be distracted by any more books. It was a hell of a task and I am not quite sure how we managed that.

I bought a bunch of books from the fair but I have no idea which one to start first. I love all of them and so not sure how to divide my love.

I think maybe I will start with ‘Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ’ because I have been eyeing this book for so long that I don’t think I can wait.

(Some of the books I bought)

  • Daniel Goleman’s ‘Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ’
  •  Rupi Kaur’s ‘the sun and her flowers
  • Napolean Hill’s ‘Think and Grow Rich’
  • Some books of Swami Vivekanand
  • Dale Carnegie’s ‘How to stop worrying and Start living
  • Josph Murphy’s ‘The Power of your Subconscious mind’

But I also want to read ‘the sun and her flowers‘. What to do?

Help me guys. Help me through this crisis.
