Flames and disintegration
Death and decomposition
But I shall rise,
Beyond your horizon, far above your reach.
Rebirth and revival
Resurgence and revitalization
I promise you
I shall rise.
Break the bonds,
Flee right before your naked eyes, into the blotched sky
But I shall rise.
In Greek mythology, phoenix is a long lived bird(approx 1400 yrs) that dies in a show of flames and combustion. And then regenerates itself by arising from the ashes of its predecessor.
The question that is to be asked here is ‘Can we become another phoenix, rising from the remains of our ashes to become a stronger, better us? Can we do that?’

I certainly think we can. Starving what is negative, dead weight and not beneficial in your life and feeding only that which gears you towards hope and fulfilling your dreams. The even better part is knowing that like the Phoenix even though death is inevitable, it is necessary for a new and re-energized you.

You explained it too well. I think I should copy and paste this paragraph on the page so that people can get a better idea. 😛

🙂 Sweet poetry!
One has been familiar with the Phoenix thing for a long time. One may regenerate but it need not be into something stronger or better. Stronger and better are part of mere measurement… and real mindfulness and wisdom are beyond measure.

When you start regenerating you keep moving forward and ‘stronger and better’ are mere mundane factors. But I think we should always try to be better than yesterday so that we don’t fall in the same hole as the previous day. We should keep growing and moving forward without caring for the measurement.

It has to be a sign that I’d read this within a day of needing to turn my own inner flame from one of anger into one of renewal. You inspire so much in so few words. 🙂

I wrote this one a while back. But decided to post this yesterday. So it must be the workings of a higher power. You turn your that anger into revival and that of inspiration. And have faith. It goes a long way. All the best 🙂

As you have written it’s mythology, Is this metamorphosis possible in real life. But poets are not realists. Terrific writing and thought provoking.

Thanks!
This metamorphosis is not possible physically but is indeed possible psychologically. It’s just a matter of how we perceive this information. 🙂
